The Empathy Museum: A Mile in My Shoes with nurses

In early 2019, The Empathy Museum were collecting stories around perceptions of nursing in the UK. I produced two new stories for their A Mile in My Shoes shoebox.

Colette grew up on a farm in Ireland and was what she calls ‘a sickly child’. She battled against her parents to become a nurse and today has won a string of awards and is a Nurse Consultant for Children and Young People.

Peter is a nurse in the North East. He’s worked on a cancer ward for many years and is now an Assosiate Director of Nursing but he found his calling as an 18 year old working in a nursing home.
